BULLETIN BOARD (scroll down to view all items)
Race #5
Re-scheduled
Due to severe weather conditions, Race #5 (June 20) was
postponed, and has been re-scheduled for Sunday July 26
at Gamebridge. TKC will be holding Race #7 at
Gamebridge on Saturday July 25, and we will return to
the same location the following day, to race with Simcoe
Kart Club on Sunday. The Gamebridge track is
located just off Highway #12, between Beaverton and
Brechin. More details will be posted closer
to race day.
Spec Tire Change
At the request of many members, the TKC Board has
reconsidered its Spec Tire policy for 2009, and has
agreed to allow the use of Vega Blue tires with or
without the ONT stamp, in addition
to our spec MG FZ yellow (driver's choice). An official
bulletin has been posted on the Documents page, under Rules
& Regulations.
Spec Fuel Change
Due to renovations being done at our spec fuel station,
TKC has had to change spec fuel and station location for
the remainder of the 2009 season. Effective
immediately (Race 3#), the new Spec Fuel is Petro
Canada, located in Baldwin (just south of Sutton), at
24428 Highway #48. To avoid any complications, we
suggest that participants flush their fuel tanks
thoroughly, prior to the next event. An official
bulletin has been posted on the Documents page.
Acknowledgment
The TKC would like to send out condolences to Jim
McGlade for the loss of his mother Anita. Jim has
contributed countless hours to TKC through Board
representation and the thousands of photos he takes
every year. TKC would not be where it is today,
without Jim. Our thoughts go out to Jim and his
family.
Race #1 Report
The TKC held its first race of the 2009 season on
Saturday May 2, and our members were eager to shake off
