Mandatory for all Novice and Rookie drivers.
April 13 Toronto Kart Club and Simcoe Kart Club will be hosting the Rookie training day
at 3S Go Karts, home of the Simcoe Kart Club.
When it comes to racing safety is of paramount importance. Not only is it important
that your kart is prepared properly and safe, but it is also important that the driver
is well prepared. Each driver should understand the structure of a race and how to
conduct themselves both on and off the race track.
Some of the topics that will be covered are:
- Introduction to each racing flag
- Race starts
- Following another kart
- Reading the track
- The racing line
Just so we don't leave out the pitcrew. The chief mechanic can
attend short seminars on
- Front end alignment
- Tires
- Engines
There are plenty of volunteers so if your really new there will be
someone to help you through the day. We will post the final details shortly.
