Karting becomes part of Molson Grand Prix of Toronto -- July 2006

For the first time ever, kart racers participated on-track at the Molson Grand Prix of Toronto (July 7-9, 2006).  15 karts, selected from Junior and Senior F1-K and Rotax classes, provided demonstrations on July 7 and 9, in front of Grand Prix (a.k.a. "Indy") race fans.  Several kart clubs were represented, as part of the Sunoco/Ron Fellows regional series.  It was a very special opportunity for these young karters to be able to drive on the same track as the professional racers.  The rest of the weekend was spent occupying a large display area, where interested fans could see the karts up close and have questions answered by the drivers and their parents/mechanics.   Paul Cooke of ASN Canada FIA said "It's great to be part of history in the making".
