Halton Hills, ON:   Toronto Kart Club's oldest piece of hardware is the Novice Champion Annual Trophy, which dates back to 1961.  In July of 2006, this retired trophy was accepted for display at the Canadian Motorsport
Hall of Fame.  The CMHF has recently moved to their new location at 8242 Fifth Line, in Halton Hills, ON.  It is quite fitting that the Novice class in particular is being honoured in this way, as it represents the youngest karters who enter the sport and work hard towards their goals.

As this award is close to 50 years old, it is comforting to know that it has a safe and permanent home at CMHF.

Recipients of the "Novice Champion" title who are engraved on the displayed trophy are as follows:

1961:   Bill Drew, Ajax
1962:   Jim Hiller, Mount Forest
